Mid-Atlantic Poodle Rescue is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization. We received our not for profit status from the US Internal Revenue Service in 2011 and are in good standing with the Maryland Secretary of State where we are based.

Rescue organizations rely on donations to cover the cost of the work that we do, as adoption fees rarely cover the costs associated with the work. Costs include veterinary services, professional transportation, professional board, food and miscellaneous expenses like microchips, leashes, etc.

MAPR is run exclusively by volunteers; no one is paid for the work that we do, so donors should feel comfortable knowing that 100% of their donation goes directly to help the dogs in the program.
