Toy Poodles Toys are the smallest of the 3 varieties. Toys are under 10 inches at the shoulder and generally
weigh less than 10 pounds. They come in all colors - black, white, brown, apricot, red, sliver and blue and ocassionally more
than one color or what is known as "parti" color or "phantom marking." None of the colors, including
parti and phantom are particularly rare or unusual. Some very small Toys are advertised as "tiny toys" or "teacup"
poodles. This designation is nothing more than a marketing ploy.

|
Miniature Poodles The Miniature Poodle is the in-between size variety. Minis are over 10 inches, but
below 15 inches, at the shoulder. They generally weigh between 15 to 25 pounds. They come in all the same colors, including
parti and phantom, as do Toys and Standards. Their size makes Miniature Poodles great for apartment dwellers. They are
sturdy little dogs that are happy to cuddle or go for brisk walks.

|
Standard Poodles The Standard Poodle is the largest of the 3 varieties. Standards are over 15 inches
at the shoulder, usually in the range of 21-25 inches and may weigh as much as 70 pounds. They come in all the same various
colors, including parti and phantom. Sometimes a large Standard may be referred to as a "Royal Standard," but like
their little Toy friends, this designation is nothing more than a marketing ploy.
